WE'RE MOVING!
UPDATE 01/01/2026
After nearly a year of construction, we are pleased to announce that we are reaching the end of our Denton build out. It has been a long and at times challenging road, and we are so excited for you to see the new space! That being said, we wanted to update y'all on our plans for the rest of the month, so you can plan accordingly.
01/14: Last Wednesday pickup at Lake Highlands
01/18: Last Sunday pickup at Lake Highlands, last day Lake Highlands is open
01/19-01/25: Closed for moving **no pickups or delivery 01/21 or 01/25
01/26: Tentative first day open in Denton, subject to change
Our goal is to be open the last week in January to ensure a delivery/pickup on February 1, but we are aware of the possibility of roadblocks during the moving process! We will keep you all updated if there are any changes to this schedule. Believe us, we are ready to settle in and get into the swing of things in Denton!
For our current Lake Highlands pickups, thank you for many wonderful years! We will be contacting you soon regarding other pickup and delivery options available to you.
For our home delivery customers, thank you for bearing with us during this transition, and we're excited to get back on routine with you soon!
We would love to see some friendly faces in the upcoming few weeks! There have been lots of amazing memories over the past 10 years, and we would love to chat about your favorite ones.
We have some very exciting things planned for 2026, including a bigger delivery range, further collaborations with amazing people, and new dishes we've been working on. Thank you so much for a wonderful final holiday season in Dallas, and we are looking forward to the future in Denton. As always, please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.
With gratitude,
<3 Shannon

Dear Nature’s Plate Community,
August marks 10 years of Nature’s Plate Lake Highlands! There have been a lot of changes and growth over the past 10 years. We opened (and closed!) 2 other locations, expanded our kitchen, moved through the pandemic, have met many amazing people, and, as of two years ago, come under new ownership. The Lake Highlands neighborhood and greater Dallas community have served us so well over the past decade, and we will be forever grateful for their support through our highs and lows.
With that in mind, we come to you with the bittersweet announcement that we are in the process of moving! Our new location will be in Denton, and once we move, we will no longer have our Lake Highlands location. We are so incredibly lucky that you all support us enough to allow us to deliver all across the metroplex, which in turn gives us the flexibility to have our kitchen where it is most sustainable.
I’m sure there will be some questions, and we’ve added some information below that will hopefully answer most of them! If you have further questions, please feel free to reach out here or text us at (469)-523-5366. We believe that transparency is key here and would be happy to address any concerns you may have.
Finally, a HUGE thank you for supporting us over all of these years. As many of you know, the food industry (and more intensely, the vegan food industry) has undergone a lot of rapid changes in the last few years and even just in the last few months. To be frank, it has not been easy and it is only with your continued support and encouragement that we have even been able to consider this as an option. We understand this move will involve some disruption in routine, but we believe that it is the best plan to be able to sustain and grow Nature’s Plate for many years to come.

Q: Why are you moving?
A: A few reasons! We have a wonderful team in which a big majority of them commute. Moving to Denton will lessen our overall drive time, which allows us to focus our time and energy more into Nature’s Plate and less onto I-35. There is also an element of uncertainty in our current shopping center’s future, as well as competitive commercial rent and utility prices in Denton. We also just love the Denton community and think Nature’s Plate would be an excellent fit!
Q: What is the timeline for the move and will you need to close at all?
A: We are hoping to move by or before October. This is of course dependent on a lot of moving parts and is up in the air at the moment. We are hoping to plan our transition to be as smooth as possible and line up moving dates, inspections, and permits to allow us to be back up and running for preorders as soon as possible, but we are anticipating at least a few weeks of closure. You will know in advance when this is to ensure you have time to plan ahead and order meals to stock your freezer.
Q: What is the plan for those who currently pick up in Lake Highlands?
A: We are pleased to announce we will be partnering with Punch Drunk Chef Meal Prep to continue to offer a Dallas pickup location. You can already place your order for Sunday pickup there, and we encourage you to test that and see if their Fitzhugh location works for you. If it does not, please keep your eyes peeled for more information on delivery options sent directly to your phone.
Q: Will you be hiring in Denton?
A: We will! While many of our current team members will be coming with us to Denton, some have made the decision to leave us after the move. We will be posting job descriptions for those interested in the coming weeks.
