What about protein?
Our meals average 15% of calories from protein, exceeding the World Health Org. and USDA guidelines. The truth is that most of us get much more protein than we need while we are lacking in other nutrients.
It's true - our meals have plenty of complex carbs, your body's natural fuel. There's no need to worry about eating too many carbs when they come from whole foods instead of processed food and refined flours/sugars.
Most people get far less fiber than recommended. It's easy to get to the recommended 25-35g per day with our meals. Whole plant foods are your best source!
